3. Breathe. This may sounds like an obvious one, but breathing is a key aspect in capturing a natural look. You can practice taking a big breath while smiling in front of a mirror. Slowly release the air through your mouth, while holding the look and notice how your face and eyes settle into a natural and relaxed expression. This is also essential when trying for a serious look. I always tell my clients to just slightly open their mouth and gently breath through it when attempting a serious look. When attempting a genuine smile, breathing helps there too! Of course having a family member and/or friend with you to do something silly helps with those genuine smiles as well. So remember, when in doubt, just breathe!
