This week I am happy to feature JoJo from Monarch High School as my senior of the week! I had to take a few weeks off due to foot and knee surgery but am finally getting back in the swing of things, thank goodness!
I first photographed JoJo’s sister a few years ago for her senior pictures. I have also had the pleasure to photograph the family after that, and now the youngest, JoJo. It is so fun to watch the kids I have photographed over the years grow into young adults and go off onto collage or whatever avenue they choose. I feel very lucky that families trust me with preserving memories of the very important times in their lives.
For JoJo’s senior session, I went out to the family farm in Longmont, and what a beautiful area it was! They had a stream, mountain views, dirt roads and vast fields. It would be very hard to not get good photographs in that situation! There, I was able to photograph JoJo with his horse, as well as a few of him with some very fancy cars owned by the family! His favorite subject in school is math, and he hopes to one day be a psychologist. His favorite activities include participating in ultimate frisbee and hanging out with his horse. I was able to capture both of those activities as part of his senior portrait session. He also participates in 4-H, and in his spare time volunteers many hours to the program. Other than that, he loves spending time with his friends, gaming, and working on the family farm. Congratulations JoJo on your upcoming graduation with the class of 2018! I hope you obtain your goals of becoming a psychologist, and also keep up with the ultimate frisbee. As near as I could tell, you are pretty darn good at it!
